Immigration and the arrival of new Canadians have made Canada the tolerant and respected multicultural society it is today. Within this context, the Asian Hockey League has grown with our evolving Canadian population. Each team is allowed a limit of two non-Asian players, affectionately known as "imports". This league, comprised of "import", mixed, first and second generation Canadians, represents what the future of our Canadian identity evolves to be.
